Go to the above website and choose ONE video that is about 50 minutes long.  You may scroll down on the left and choose a topic, or go to the Topic pulldown menu and choose. 
  •  Take notes as usual.
  • Write 3 discussion questions for your group.  The questions should be general questions about the topic, NOT comprehension questions.  (Remember they didn't watch the video!)  Ask group members what they think about different aspects of the story.

Monday is Martin Luther King Day.  Why does the US celebrate this?  Find out by listening to all of the above short videos and taking notes.  Bring your notes to class on Friday.  You will use the notes to create an outline of the important facts of his life and of the Civil Rights movement in general.  You will then turn the notes in to me.  Remember to use standard sized paper!
